1997, Maître
Denis Nabères has always practised in the
Gulf of Saint-Tropez, where he founded his practice and has, over the years, built a lasting relationship of trust with his clients. Deeply rooted in the local community yet focused on a wide range of legal issues, he advises private individuals as well as professionals, businesses and local stakeholders.

Alongside his work as a solicitor, Maître Denis Nabères also practises as an
estate agent, which gives him in-depth knowledge of the local market, asset management issues and the legal matters associated with property transactions.
Education and Training
Maître Denis Nabères is a graduate of the
Aix-en-Provence Bar School, where he undertook his professional training before being called to the bar and setting up practice in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez.
Since the start of his career, he has ensured that he maintains and enhances his skills through regular continuing professional development, particularly in the fields of
property law, personal and property law, and business law.
Fees
Clear and transparent information on fees
Maître Denis NABERES attaches particular importance to transparency regarding fees and to providing his clients with advance information on the financial terms of his services.
Unless there are special circumstances or an emergency, the terms for determining fees are set out in a written fee agreement, drawn up taking into account, in particular, the nature of the case, its complexity, the work expected to be required and the stakes involved.
Standard hourly rate
Maître Denis NABERES’s standard hourly rate is set at:
€275 excluding VAT per hour, plus VAT at the current rate, i.e. currently €330 including VAT.
Billing on a time-spent basis takes into account the work actually carried out in connection with the case: reviewing documents, research, consultations and meetings, correspondence, telephone calls, drafting legal documents, preparing for hearings, attending hearings and, more generally, any work necessary to defend the client’s interests.
The precise terms of billing are set out in the fee agreement entered into with the client.
Contingency fee
Depending on the nature, the stakes and the specific features of the case, a contingency fee may be agreed in writing in advance to supplement the main fee.
This supplementary fee may, in particular, be calculated on the basis of the gain achieved, the sums actually recovered or the savings realised for the client’s benefit, in accordance with the terms set out in the fee agreement.
Reference fee scale
For guidance purposes, Maître Denis NABERES may apply the following scale:
- from €0 to €150,000: 12% excluding VAT, plus VAT;
- from €150,001 to €300,000: 8% excluding VAT, plus VAT;
- above €300,000: 5% excluding VAT, plus VAT.
This scale serves as a guide. It may be adjusted depending on the nature of the case, its complexity, the necessary work involved, the stakes at stake and any specific terms agreed with the client.
The method of calculation, the basis for assessment and the conditions under which the success fee becomes payable are, in all cases, expressly set out in the fee agreement.
The Fee Agreement
The fee agreement entered into between Maître Denis NABERES and the client sets out the billing terms specific to each case.
In particular, it specifies, as appropriate, the method for determining the principal fee, the applicable rate, any advance payments, costs and disbursements, and the method for calculating any success fee.
